Description
An historic group of timber-framed buildings dating from the late 14th century clustered round the Norman gateway into Warwick, less than five minutes’ walk from Warwick Castle. For 150 years it was the home of Warwick’s Medieval Guilds. In the reign of Queen Elizabeth I it became a place of retirement for ExServicemen and their wives. So it remains today and welcomes visitors from all over the world throughout the year.
The Master’s Garden, a tiny beautiful tranquil garden hidden behind the Master’s House, features a 12th Century Norman arch, an Egyptian ‘Nilometer’ and a very early pineapple pit.
